LeBron James leads the Cleveland Cavaliers to the NBA Finals
Boston Celtics fall 108-83 in decisive game
LeBron James put in a dominant performance on Sunday night, scoring 35 points with 15 rebounds and nine assists to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 108-83 victory over the Boston Celtics.
The win gives James his eighth straight trip to the NBA Finals, where he will face off against the Golden State Warriors. The Celtics, meanwhile, saw their season come to an end in disappointing fashion.
The Celtics had a chance to tie the series in Game 7, but they never really got going. James was simply too much for them, and he was ably supported by Kevin Love (20 points) and JR Smith (17 points).
The Celtics were led by Kyrie Irving, who had 24 points. However, he was not able to get enough help from his teammates. Jayson Tatum had 15 points, but he was just 6-of-17 from the field.
The Cavaliers will now face the Warriors in the NBA Finals, which begin on Thursday night. The Warriors are the defending champions, and they will be looking to win their third straight title.
