Nuggets Win First NBA Championship in 47 Years

After a 47-year wait, the Denver Nuggets are finally NBA champions. The Nuggets defeated the Miami Heat 122-108 in Game 5 of the NBA Finals on Sunday night to claim their first NBA title in franchise history.
Nikola Jokic led the way for the Nuggets with a triple-double of 35 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists. Jamal Murray added 26 points, and Aaron Gordon had 18 points and 10 rebounds.
The Heat were led by Jimmy Butler, who had 20 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 assists. Bam Adebayo added 19 points and 10 rebounds, and Tyler Herro had 17 points.
The Nuggets took control of the game in the third quarter, outscoring the Heat 35-18. Jokic was unstoppable in the quarter, scoring 15 points and dishing out 5 assists.
The Heat made a run in the fourth quarter, but the Nuggets held on to win by 14 points.
